However, particularly from the 20th century onwards, we are witnessing the intimate relationship of literature and texts with the ethos of culture, politics and fluid(ized) boundaries of identity markers such as nation and history. The power of the word over the sword is even more tangible and we are being governed, invented and remodeled through discourses, in whose core there are words. Therefore, understanding the modern human being as the dialectic byproduct of history and keeping trace of the spirit of time strictly require delving into the modes of expression and alter-chronologies provided to us by literature.
